Cartside ("we", "us") helps you compare grocery prices across nearby stores and build a shopping list. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using Cartside you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account info — your email address and, optionally, your name.
Location — the address or ZIP code you enter, or — only if you grant permission — your device's location, so we can find and price the stores near you. You can turn location access on or off at any time in your device settings.
Your list — the grocery items and meals you save.
Usage & device data — searches you run, pages you view, and basic technical data (browser, approximate region, error logs) used to run and improve the service.
Subscription & purchase data — if you subscribe to Cartside, we and our payment providers record your subscription status and purchase history. Payments are handled by the app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) and our subscription provider, RevenueCat; we never see or store your full payment card details.

How we use it

To provide the service — price comparisons, saving and syncing your list.
To send account emails you'd expect: email verification and password resets.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
To understand usage and improve Cartside.

Cookies

We use a single sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that do not identify you individually.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We rely on a small set of service providers to operate Cartside — for hosting, sending transactional email, error monitoring, analytics, and processing subscription payments (the Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat) — and they process data only on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your account data while your account is active.
You can view and update your name and address in your profile.
You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time — email us below.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, connections are encrypted over HTTPS, and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Children

Cartside is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above when we do. Continued use means you accept the changes.
